Secretary General and top commanders discuss NATO’s military adaptation at annual conference

NATO is adapting to face new threats, while capitalising on opportunities created by innovation, new technologies, resilience, space and cyber. This is what Secretary Jens Stoltenberg told NATO’s top military brass at the annual Commanders’ Conference, organised by Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) General Tod D. Wolters.

More Afghans who worked with NATO are settling in Allied countries

Today (22 November 2021), a group of around twenty Afghan citizens who worked for NATO has arrived for resettlement in the Netherlands on a flight sponsored by the Dutch authorities. The group left from a temporary facility in Poland, where they have been hosted by the Polish authorities, since their evacuation from Kabul in August, with logistical support from the Polish armed forces and NATO personnel.

NATO Secretary General underscores Montenegro’s contribution to the Alliance

Speaking today (23 November 2021) at a press point with Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, the Secretary General thanked Montenegro for the important contribution it is making to the Alliance’s shared security. “Your troops serve in NATO’s multinational battlegroup in Latvia; you also contribute to our KFOR peacekeeping mission in Kosovo; and I welcome your efforts in promoting stability in the region. All this shows your strong commitment to NATO,” said Mr Jens Stoltenberg.
